UNDER-FIVE CLINIC

The first five years of life form the foundations of the child’s physical and mental growth and development. Studies have shown the mortality and morbidity are high among this age group. The under-five clinic will be a centre, where preventive, promotive, curative, referral and educational services are provided in a package manner to under-five children under one roof.

Our overall goal of the under-five clinic is to provide comprehensive health care to young children in a specialized facility. The under-fives’ clinic brings together the concepts of prevention, treatment, health supervision and education into one service for comprehensive care. In addition, by identifying those individuals and families who are at risk of disease, it helps to mobilise health and community resources for their welfare.
